Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 cases continue to surge across Odisha even as the total crossed the 2-lakh mark. The Khordha and Cuttack districts have been maintaining a grim lead in overall COVID-19 tally.
In this regard, the Health and Family Welfare Department on Sunday released a list of total Covid ICUs and ventilators available and occupied.
Of the total of 8425 general beds across Odisha, 4554 are occupied and 3691 available. Similarly, of 1426 ICU and HDU beds, 797 were occupied and 629 available as of Sunday morning. Also, 295 ventilators were available across Odisha out of the total of 531.
Coming to hotspot districts, a total of 1552 general beds are up for grabs in Khordha district. Out of which 350 are available and 1202 are occupied. Similarly, of 569 ICU and HDU beds, 357 were occupied and 212 available as of Sunday morning. Also, 91 ventilators were available out of a total of 195 and 104 under use by patients.
A total of 702 general beds are in Cuttack district; out of which 368 are available and 334 occupied, as per H&FW Department stats. Of the 278 ICU and HDU beds, 212 are available and 357 are occupied as of Sunday morning. In the district only 17 ventilators are available and 56 occupied out of the total of 73.
