Bhubaneswar: The local administration has announced traffic plans for the Rath Yatra, which begins tomorrow from six in the morning at Puri. The details are as mentioned below.
1) Inter State-Tourist Buses: All interstate tourist buses from Bhubaneswar side will be allowed to Puri up to Malatipatapur and will park at Malatipatapur New Bus stand. The return will be on the same route.
2) Light vehicles (four-wheelers and tricycles): All light vehicles, including three-and four-wheelers, will be permitted to access the parking area at Talabania via the Malatipatapur, ROB, Toshali Chowk, Grid Station, and Bhudan when travelling from the Bhubaneswar side of NH-316.
They will have to take the Central School road via Grid Station, the ITI Crossing, the Balighat Gopalpur Crossing, the Samangara Biraharekrushnapur, and the Malatipatapur on their way back.
3) Transportable light vehicle: All light vehicles having a car pass issued from the Bhubaneswar side are permitted to travel to the designated parking location i.e. Chhapan Chhack, or in the direction of Lokanath Temple through Batagaon, Mangalahat, Sterlin Chhack, and Hans Cocopalm. The same route will be taken during their return to Bhubaneswar.
4) Motorcycle (two-wheelers): From the Bhubaneswar side, there are designated parking spaces for all two-wheelers at Jagannath Ballava, Masanichandi Chowk, and on the outside slope of Mangalahat Chhack (Krusaka Bazar). The two-wheelers following the route from Jagannath Ballava will go through Jatiababa Chowk, Kumbharapada, Atharana, Charinala, and Malitipapur.
Two-wheelers from Brahmagiri side will also park at Jagannath Ballava via Masanichandi Chowk. Their return will be on the same route. Two-wheelers from Konark side will park at Blue Flag beach via Grid Station, ITI, CT Raod & Suabash Boss Chhack and the return will be in the same way.
5) Auto Rickshaw: All Auto Rickshaws will move from Talabania to Ram Mandir Chowk, via Sadar Block, Odisha Bakery, Ram Mandir. Return will be via Shrikhetra colony road.
Light vehicles and three-wheelers from Brahmagiri side will be permitted to travel all the way to Florish India and will park there. The same path will be taken for the return. Light vehicles from Konark side will be allowed to Puri, Talabania via Grid Station, Bhudan ITI, and their return will be via ITI crossing, Central school, Bhudan, Grid Station, Toshali.
