**Koraput/Bhubaneswar:** In a bizarre incident, the Collector of tribal-dominated Koraput district has issued dress code restriction on both aggrieved public and government officials seeking audience at his official chamber.
In response to such a report highlighted in media, former Collector of the district Arabinda Padhee has tweeted, “As ex-Collector of d Dist, I’ve seen many yng tribals wearing Jeans/T-shirts; & why not? The order is inappropriate.”
The notice, a computer printout, has been pasted on the wall of the Collector’s office.
It warns on three points directing both the government officials and public to meet the Collector in proper dress imposing a ban on jeans pant and T-shirt.
However, the third diktat asking visitor to keep mobile phones switched off or on silent mode has not stirred a hornet’s nest.
Our Correspondent after stumbling upon such a queer notice, that has raised the hackles of intelligentsia here, tried to seek Collector V.Jaykumar’s reactions on it, but despite several calls followed by SMS sent to the Collector’s cell phone all went in vain.
