Cuttack: Artisans of Kumbhar Sahi here are sculpting a huge bust size clay image of popular Ollywood actor Mihir Das to pay their tributes to the great artiste on his birthday which falls in February 11.
The veteran Odia actor passed away on January 11 at a private hospital in Cuttack after suffering a heart attack a month ago.
As many as 15 artisans of Kumbhar Sahi are sculpting a seven feet high bust-size statue of the actor in clay.
The popular actor had a connection with the clay artisans, he had played the character of a clay artisan in the film ‘Matira Bandhan’ in 2012. The film is yet to be released.
The artisans of Kumbhar Sahi have told that the unveiling of Mihir Das’s clay sculpture at Kumbhar Sahi Chhak on his birthday will be their true tribute to the great actor.
