**Koraput:** The minor tribal girl in the much controversial Kunduli ‘gang-rape’ allegedly committed suicide on Monday afternoon. The girl used a dupatta to hang herself from the ceiling, preliminary reports said. She was rushed to the Koraput District Headquarters Hospital in a critical condition where the minor girl was declared dead.
Notably, mystery shrouded over the alleged gang rape meted out with a tribal school girl of Kunduli in tribal-dominated district of Koraput in October last year. Amid the raging controversy and political hullabaloo, the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had eventually ordered for a judicial probe into the sensational incident.
The victim and her family, especially her mother, have been sticking to their guns of gangrape committed by four armed men in uniform and claim to easily identify the alleged culprits. Naveen condoled the incident, and conveyed his deeply sympathised with the bereaved family.
