Bhubaneswar: A lady doctor was allegedly assaulted by a businessman in Laxmisagar area of Bhubaneswar on Sunday night.
Reportedly, the doctor Hina Gupta was returning home with her mother in a car at around 10 pm yesterday when she found a car has blocked the road.
When she blew the horn of her car asking for a passage, the businessman identified as Biswajit Swain started abusing her and her mother.
As the matter escalated, Swain allegedly thrashed the lady doctor. He also shoved her mother when she tried to interfere.
Based on a complaint lodged by the lady doctor, Swain has reportedly been detained at Laxmisagar Police Station.
