Mayurbhanj: Students and their parents locked the main gate and staged protest in front of the Nuasahi Primary School in Kaptipada block of Mayurbhanj district on Wednesday after a lady teacher of the school allegedly misbehaved with a student and also attacked his guardian by deploying henchmen.

Reportedly, irate over a family dispute lady teacher Pramila Pothal had misbehaved with a student, hurled abuses at him and also tossed his books and notes. After his parents complained about her act, the student’s uncle was attacked by her henchmen.

In protest, students of the school along with their parents and villagers staged protest in front of the school demanding Pramila’s transfer and arrest of the attackers.

On getting information, Kaptipada Block Education Officer reached on the spot and assured the protesters that he will inform higher authorities about the situation to process her transfer.
