Jharsuguda: Father of Lalit Kumar Sahu, who allegedly committed suicide on Sunday at Jharsuguda, has filed a complaint with the local police alleging that he was under pressure.
According to Belarsan Sahu, Lalit was fortunate to have got a job at Minister Naba Das’ house. “He was not in the right track and resorted to ingenuine practices. Lalit was under mental pressure and committed suicide,” Sahu stated in his complaint.
Sahu stated that BJP leaders are forcing him to raise allegations of foulplay in Lalit’s death. “It is a case of suicide, but I am being asked to say otherwise,” his complaint read. On the other hand, Biranchi said that his brother was burdened with loans and was under stress because of this.
Lalit belonging to Dhenkanal was working as a cook at Health and Family Welfare Minister Naba Kisore Das’ house. He was staying in the staff quarters with his brother Biranchi.
Lalit was found hanging in his quarters on Sunday evening. Jharsuguda Town police had seized the body. After the post-mortem was conducted the same evening, the police handed over Lalit’s body to his family.
