Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi warmly welcomed President Droupadi Murmu to Rairangpur, Mayurbhanj district, saying it’s a matter of pride and honour to host her in the heartland of Mayurbhanj, her birthplace and first workplace.
Majhi expressed gratitude for the President’s guidance on responsibilities and duties during her previous visit to the state assembly. He highlighted the historic significance of the day, with various development projects being inaugurated and foundation stones laid, showcasing the joint commitment of central and state governments towards Mayurbhanj’s sustainable development.
These projects, including an Ayush Hospital, Ayurvedic College, and Information Technology Campus, aim to enhance education, healthcare, and infrastructure, benefiting the youth, farmers, tribal communities, and women. Majhi emphasized that Mayurbhanj’s development is guaranteed since President Murmu, a daughter of the land, became the first citizen of India.
The projects are expected to create new employment opportunities, improve connectivity, and boost commerce, aligning with the government’s Purvodaya vision for eastern India’s growth. President Murmu also highlighted initiatives for tribal welfare, such as Minimum Support Price for minor forest products and low-interest loans for Scheduled Tribe women.
