Bhubaneswar: Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan today expressed confidence that all rituals and events from Bahuda Yatra to Niladri Bije will be conducted smoothly, attributing this assurance to meticulous planning and the divine blessings of Lord Jagannath.
Speaking to the media, the Minister said that comprehensive arrangements have been put in place, covering both administrative and police coordination, to ensure the successful conduct of the remaining Rath Yatra festivities. “With the blessings of Mahaprabhu Jagannath, every event from Bahuda Yatra to Niladri Bije will proceed seamlessly,” he stated.
Harichandan also addressed the much-discussed status of the Ratna Bhandar, the sacred treasure vault of the Shree Jagannath Temple. He assured that the vault is completely secure, both in terms of structural integrity and safety. “There are no construction-related concerns for the next 100 years, and the same goes for its security architecture,” the Minister affirmed.
According to him, repair work on the Ratna Bhandar is in its final stage. The administration had aimed to complete the repairs before Bahuda Yatra, and this target has been nearly achieved. Once fully completed, Lord Jagannath’s ornaments will be transferred back to the inner chamber of the vault. The much-awaited inventory process will begin only after Niladri Bije, marking the final phase of restoration and documentation.
