Bhubaneswar: SAI International School held its much-awaited Investiture Ceremony 2025 on Saturday at the Indraprastha Auditorium, to formally induct the new Student Council and Club Bearers. The event stood as a proud moment, celebrating leadership, accountability, and the school’s unwavering commitment to holistic student development.
The ceremony was graced by Dr. S. Dev Datta Singh, Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar–Cuttack Police Commissionerate, who served as the Chief Guest. He was welcomed with ceremonial honour by the school’s NCC cadets and escorted to the Galaxy of Stars, symbolising the light of guidance and excellence that every leader must embody.
The investiture ceremony began on a harmonious note with a musical performance by the SAI Choir, setting the tone for a dignified and inspiring ceremony.
Dr. Silpi Sahoo,Chairperson of SAI International Education Group, delivered the welcome address, reflecting on the school’s mission of shaping individuals with values, empathy, and vision. She encouraged the students with a powerful story about resilience and courage.
“When a storm approaches, most birds seek shelter. But the eagle does not. It flies above the storm, using the wind to soar higher. You too must rise above challenges, for leadership is not just about position, it is about vision, strength, and service,” said Dr. Silpi Sahoo, urging the students to embrace adversity as an opportunity to grow and lead with purpose.
Dr. S. Dev Datta Singh, said, “Leadership is never a solo act. It thrives on collaboration, empathy, and the ability to lift others. These next two years will shape you immensely, not just academically, but in character and confidence, before you step into the college world. He also advised students that in today’s digital world, it’s also vital that young leaders are alert to cyber risks, especially on social media. Be mindful of what you post, be aware of phishing attempts, and use strong digital hygiene”, inspiring students to lead with awareness and responsibility.
The highlight of the event was the formal induction of the Student Council members and the Club Bearers. With sashes adorning their shoulders and solemn pride in their eyes, each student stepped forward to accept the responsibility of leading their peers. The Oath Taking Ceremony was a powerful moment, as the young leaders pledged to uphold the values of the school with integrity, dedication, and respect.
The newly elected Head Girl, Shagun Samantarai, and Head Boy, Syed Ayaan Ali, delivered moving speeches, expressing gratitude for the trust placed in them and sharing their vision of collaborative, inclusive leadership.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Nilakantha Panigrahi, Director Academics and Senior Principal, followed by the National Anthem, which echoed with a shared sense of purpose and pride.
