Bhubaneswar: From February 1, the applicants for the learners licence and driving licence need not submit paper documents like printed application form, declaration form, slot booking slip, fee payment receipt and photocopies of ID/ age/ address proof and blood group report, as per a tweet by the State Transport Authority of Odisha.
Informing about the step, Transport Commissioner cum Chairman State Transport Authority Sanjeeb Panda said, “The applicants can upload documents of age and address proof on Paarivahan Sewa and the data will be stored on NIC platform. They will have to only mention blood group in the application form and there is no need to upload the report online. And if the applicant uploads Aadhaar card, then he/she will not have to produce separate documents for address and age proof.
However, while filling the LL form, the applicants will have to carry all those original documents, which they have uploaded/submitted.
The process for filling the driving licence application is the same. An applicant will have to carry the printed copy of driving licence slot booking to driving testing track till automated driving test facility is introduced.
