Leopard Critically Injures Man In Odisha’s Angul

Angul: A man was critically injured when a leopard attacked him in Satkosia forest range near Antulia in Angul district. The incident occurred on Saturday when he was out to collect mushrooms.

The victim Chittaranjan Dal, of Dalabehera Sahi, with an associate, went to collect mushrooms from the wild. They were attacked by a leopard here. While Dal received grievous injuries on his head, chest and left hand; his associate managed to escape and climbed a tree to protect himself. Pawprints of the animal were found from where Dal was rescued.

Villagers heard Dals cry for help and rescued him in a bloodied state. He was immediately rushed to District Headquarters Hospital, Angul. The doctors opined that he is in a very critical state and is being given adequate treatment.
