Phulbani: Forest department officials have arrested three wildlife criminals from Gudari village under Phulbani Wildlife Division and seized a leopard skin, a barking deer head with horn, a loaded country-made gun, three mobile phones and two bikes from their possession.
The accused persons have been identified as Sanjay Mallik, Trinath Mallik, and Prabhat Kanhar.
Acting on tip-off officials of Phulbani Forest Range conducted a raid at Gudari village on Sunday and detained Sanjay, Trinath and Prabhat, informed Prasant Patel, Divisional Forest Officer, Phulbani.
Patel said that following a search, Forest officials seized a leopard skin, a barking deer head with horn, a loaded country-made gun, three mobile phones and two bikes from them.
The accused persons were forwarded to court today, he added.
