Light Rain Likely In Odisha For Next Five Days: IMD

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light rain across several districts of Odisha over the next five days, starting February 19.

According to the IMD’s weather bulletin, light rain or thunderstorms are expected in Balasore and Mayurbhanj on February 19.

On February 20, light to moderate rain may occur in Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, and Kendrapara. The IMD has issued a yellow warning for these areas due to the possibility of thunderstorms.

February 21 is expected to bring light to moderate rain in places like Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, and others. The IMD has also warned of thunderstorms with lightning in parts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, and nearby districts.

On February 22, light rain is likely in Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati, and other districts. A yellow warning has been issued for these areas as well.

Finally, on February 23, rain is expected in many parts of Odisha, including Balasore, Bhadrak, and Sundargarh. The IMD has also issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms and lightning in some districts.

In addition to the rain, the IMD predicts a slight rise in the minimum (night) temperature by 2-3°C over the next two days. There will be no significant temperature changes afterward.
