Bhubaneswar: As many as 13 Odisha districts are very likely to witness light to moderate rain or thunderstorm over the next 24 hours. Out of these, the IMD has issued a yellow warning for nine districts.
According to the IMD, light rainfall accompanied by thunderstorm will occur at one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawarangpur, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Gajapati, Ganjam, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, and Jajpur.
The Met Department has issued a yellow alert for Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nawarangpur, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Balasore. Apart from these, dry weather is likely to prevail over rest of Odisha.
“No large change in Maximum temperature (Day Temperature) is expected during next 5 days over the districts of Odisha. Maximum temperature will be more than 40 degrees at many places and likely to be above normal by 2 to 3°C at a few places over the districts of interior Odisha during next 4 to 5 days,” the IMD stated.
The Capital City will experience a partly cloudy sky. Maximum and Minimum temperature in Bhubaneswar is very likely to be around 39°C and 25°C respectively. “It is advised to take precautionary measures for hot weather conditions while going outside during midday 12-3 PM,” the Met Department cautioned.
