Bhubaneswar: Five districts of the State are likely to witness light to moderate rain accompanied by thundershower on Sunday. According to the IMD, people of North Coastal districts – Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Koraput, Rayagada and Gajapati need to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect from lightning strike during late evening hours today.
On the other hand, light rainfall is expected over the next two days in Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, and Bhadrak, while rest of the state will experience dry weather.
“There will be no large change in Maximum temperature (Day Temperature) over the State during next 4-5 days. The temperature will be above normal by 2 to 3 degrees Celcius at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha during next 4 to 5 days,” the IMD stated.
The highest maximum temperature of 42.2 degrees was recorded at Bolangir while the lowest minimum temperature (21 degrees) was recorded at Bhadrak on Sunday. The Capital City will experience a partly cloudy sky with Maximum and Minimum temperature very likely to be around 35 degrees and 26 degrees respectively over the next 24 hours.
