Light Thundershowers Likely In Several Odisha Dists In Next 3 Days; Night Temperature Drops

Bhubaneswar: Several districts in Odisha are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall during the next three days and the weather will be dry thereafter, the midday bulletin of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Monday.

Dry weather prevailed over the districts of Odisha and dense fog occurred at Phulpani in the south interior Odisha. The minimum temperatures (night temperatures) observed an appreciable fall in one or two places over the districts of North Odisha and no large change elsewhere over the districts of Odisha. The minimum temperatures were below normal at one or two places, appreciably above normal at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha, above normal at a few places, and normal elsewhere over the districts of Odisha.

The highest maximum temperature of 33.0°C was recorded at Malkangiri and the lowest minimum temperature of 14.5°C was recorded at Phulbani in the plains of Odisha.

Light to moderate rain/ thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, and Koraput, and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

Day 2: (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 21.11.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 22.11.2023)

Light to moderate rain/ thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Khurda, Puri, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
