Bhubaneswar: A Class X student died tragically after being struck by lightning in Ganjam district, on Saturday.
The victim, Rajesh Gouda, was a resident of Narayanpatana village and had recently appeared for the High School Certificate (HSC) examination.
According to sources, Rajesh was returning from Bamakei to Narayanpur when he was fatally struck by lightning on the Bamakei-Kumarada Road. He suffered severe injuries and was rushed to the Bamakei hospital where he was declared dead by doctors.
