Lightning Strike Leaves One Dead, Three Injured In Ganjam

Bhubaneswar: One person was killed and three others sustained injuries after lightning induced by Kalabaisakhi stuck them in Ganjam district, on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Sima Sahu of Patrapur village while the injured have been identified as Sankar Sahu and Padma Sethi of the locality.

According to sources, all of them had gone to their farmland at noon. While returning home, lightning stuck them. Locals rushed them to Patrapur Community Health Centre. However, Sima was declared dead on arrival. The injured are undergoing treatment at the Community Health Centre. ’
