**Bhubaneswar: ** Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be gifted with Bhubaneswar’s famous ‘Kora khai’ during his visit to the Lingaraj Temple. ‘Kora khai’, a derived food from ‘khai’ (fried paddy) is offered to Lord Lingraja in Lingaraja temple, Bhubaneswar.
Speaking to the media persons, Bhubaneswar ADM Manoj Mohanty said, “We are making all the arrangements for PM’s visit. A guide will inform him about the temple. Then honorable PM will pay obeisance to Lord Lingaraj. We will also gift him ‘Kora Khoi’ after the prayer.”
The Commissionerate Police has also made elaborated security arrangements for the visit. 70 platoons of armed forces to be deployed for the security at various places in the city for The PM’s scheduled visit.
Speaking to reporters, Police Commissioner Y.B. Khurania said, “300 officers and 70 platoons of armed police would be deployed for the security and traffic arrangements”.
Worth mentioning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend the BJP’s National Executive Meeting to be held at Bhubaneswar on April 15 along with several top BJP leaders. Modi who often visits temples during his tours is scheduled to visit the 11th century Shiva shrine on April 16, the second day of his visit.
