Paradip: A crane operator of a cargo ship named MV AMNSI MAXIMUS suffered critical injuries and the ship was damaged after a load crane broke into half at the Pradip Port on Tuesday.
According to reports, the mishap occurred at the MPB berth of Paradip Port when workers were engaged in unloading limestone from the vessel.
A load crane belonging to Bothra Shipping Corporation was engaged in the operation when the boom of the crane broke into half and fell on the ship. The crane operator who fell off the crane sustained injuries in the accident, while the crane’s lifting cylinder was damaged.
