Balasore: Irate locals staged a violent protest over the sale of liqour in Patrapada area here on Friday. The locals demanded the removal of a liquor shop.
The main road connecting Balasore and Chandipur was blocked by people of the region who demanded the removal of a liquor store in Patrapada area under Town police limits.
Tyres were set on fire during the agitation to check vehicular movement. Local police and administration (personnel) rushed to the spot and held discussions with the protesters.
