Bargarh: A minor girl was killed after being run-over by a truck near Saradhapali Giridhari college in Gaisilet under Padampur sub-division on Friday.
The girl, identified as a native of Nuapali was a student. Today morning, while the girl was going to school, a speeding truck ran over her, killing the minor of the spot.
The incident triggered tension at the spot and locals thrashed the truck driver black and blue. Gaisilet police rushed to the spot and rescued the driver. The body of the girl was sent for autopsy and a case of unnatural death was registered.
