**Bhubaneswar: ** As the Election Commission of India has formally issued notification for the Presidential Election-2017, Lok Sabha Secretary General-cum-Returning Officer Anoop Mishra on Wednesday (June 14, 2017) has given public notice for the election to the highest constitutional post of our republic.
As the MLAs of Odisha Assembly are going to statutorily participate in the vital poll on July 17, Room No 54 of the Legislative Assembly building in the capital city here has been earmarked for the purpose.
The legislators of Odisha Legislative Assembly will cast their secret votes on the scheduled poll date from 10 am to 5 pm.
As per the Election Commission of India’s notification for Presidential Election -2017 on Wednesday (June 14), the last date for filing nominations is June 28 by 3 pm while the scrutiny of nominations will be made on June 29 at 11 am.
The Last date of withdrawal of candidatures is July 1 by 3 pm while the date of poll (if necessary) has been slated on July 17 and the hours of poll has been fixed from 10 am to 5 pm.
Counting of votes (if required and polled) will be on July 20.
