Bhubaneswar: Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik condoled the death of former Baliguda MLA Karendra Majhi, expressing profound grief over the loss of a dedicated public servant.
In his condolence message, Patnaik prayed for the eternal peace of Majhi’s soul and extended his sympathies to the bereaved family members during this sorrowful time.
Patnaik described Majhi’s contributions to the service and development of the people as truly memorable stating “I am saddened to learn about the demise of former Baliguda legislator Korendra Majhi. His work in the service and development of the people will always remain memorable. I convey my condolences to the bereaved family members during this sorrowful time and pray for the eternal peace of the departed soul.”
Karendra Majhi, a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), served as the MLA for Baliguda constituency twice, in 2004 and 2009. He was widely respected for his commitment to the upliftment of tribal communities and his contributions to the development of Baliguda.
Majhi’s passing has left a void in Odisha’s political landscape, with leaders and citizens alike remembering him for his simplicity, dedication to public service, and altruism.
