**Bhubaneswar:** Besides the alleged dilly-dallying of police action on her earlier complaints of dowry torture and wife swapping against in-laws and husband, estranged daughter-in-law, Lopamudra Mishra, of influential industrialist Trailokya Mishra on Wednesday lodged a fresh FIR against her in-laws and husband alleging life threats issued on her as well as threat of kidnapping her only son.
A visibly panicky Lopanmudra accompanied by her brother Bhargav Mishra filed the fresh FIR at Badagada PS today.
“A band of 5-7 goons barged into our Badagada-based home today morning around 8.30 am and threatened at knifepoint to kill me and kidnap my only son for having exposed my in-laws and husband yesterday”, said Lopamundra, adding the hooligans even hurled abuses sitting impudently on sofa.
Notably, Lopamudra, now staying with her parents here, hit the headlines on Tuesday when he spilled beans against her high profile in-laws and husband.
Lopamudra has alleged that her husband Sabyasachi Mishra had forced her for wife-swapping when they were on their honeymoon trip at Port Blair in 2006.
She said she had been bearing the torture since 2006 as she didn’t agree to her husband’s demand.
She rued she had earlier lodged an FIR with the police against father-in-law Trailokya Mishra, mother-in-law Ashamanjari and husband Sabyasachi on May 10 this year, but no action taken yet.
Meanwhile, Lopamudra flanked by her brother, Bhubaneswar-based NGO director and her lawyer met Bhubaneswar DCP on Tuesday afternoon.
DCP Satyabrata Bhoi said requisite police protection will be provided to her and family.
He also informed since the first FIR was lodged with the Mahila PS and was later referred to the mediation cell for sorting out the matter, action against the accused was kept in abeyance, but henceforth law will take its own course.
On the other hand, accused father-in-law Trailokya Mishra and his son Sabyasachi moved the Orissa High Court on Wednesday pleading for anticipatory bails in the wake of such a development.
