Bhubaneswar: Under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over south Bangladesh and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal, several districts of Odisha are likely to experience moderate to heavy rain till August 20, predicted the India Meteorological Department, on Saturday.
IMD has, meanwhile, issued a yellow warning to 12 districts including Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Balasore, and Bhadrak. There is a possibility of heavy rain in some places in these districts. These districts are likely to receive 11 centimetres of rain may occur in these districts on Friday.
On Saturday, there is a possibility of heavy rain in some places in the districts of Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, and Bhadrak. These districts may receive 7 to 11 centimetres of rain. Therefore, a yellow warning has been issued to these nine districts.
On Sunday, IMD issued a yellow warning to Bargarh, Bolangir, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Sundargarh, and Keonjhar. These districts are likely to receive 7 to 11 centimetres of rain.
Some places in the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sonapur, and Deogarh have been predicted to receive 7 to 11 centimetres of rain, on Monday. Therefore, a yellow warning has been issued to these districts.
