Bhubaneswar: Lord Jagannath, along with His siblings Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra, was escorted to the ‘Adapa Mandap’ of the Gundicha Temple from their respective chariots in Puri town on Sunday.
The deities were brought to the ‘Adapa Mandap’ through the ceremonial ‘Pahandi Bije’ procession held in the evening.
Initially, the servitors carried the idols of Ramakrushna and Madanmohan to the Gundicha Temple, followed by Lord Sudarshan, who was then taken to the Adapa Mandap.
Subsequently, Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra, and Lord Jagannath were carried to the ‘Adapa Mandap’ through the ‘Goti Pahandi’ from their respective chariots.
Devotees will be permitted to pay obeisance to the deities at the ‘Adapa Mandap’ starting tomorrow (Monday).
The deities had commenced their journey to the Gundicha Temple for a nine-day sojourn by riding their chariots along the Grand Road on the occasion of the Rath Yatra on June 27.
