Bhubaneswar: Under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over central parts of Bay of Bengal, a Low Pressure Area has formed over Westcentral & adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal, informed the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
It is very likely to become more marked over Westcentral and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal off north Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coasts during the next 48 hours.
It is likely to trigger heavy rainfall activities over Odisha for the next five days. Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawarangpur, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Khordha, and Puri today.
