Bhubaneswar: Under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over South Andaman Sea & neighbourhood, a Low Pressure Area has formed over South Andaman Sea & adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal.
As informed by the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre on Friday, the system is very likely to move northwestwards and intensify into a Depression during the subsequent 48 hours.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places is very likely over Andaman & Nicobar Islands during May 6 to 8.
Fishermen have been advised not to venture into Andaman Sea during the next three days; into Southeast and central Bay of Bengal during the next five days.
