Under its influence, a Low Pressure Area is likely to form over the same region during the subsequent 48 hours. Starting from September 18, heavy rainfall activity is likely over Odisha.
Heavy rainfall ( 7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Bolangir, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, and Jagatsinghpur on September 18 and over the districts Malkangiri, Koraput, Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Puri, Khordha, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, and Kendrapada on September 19.
On September 20, heavy to very heavy rainfall ( 7 to 20cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts Boudh, Angul, Sonepur, Kandhamal, and Kalahandi. Heavy rainfall ( 7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Bolangir, Nuapada and Rayagada.
