Bhubaneswar: Under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over Westcentral and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal, a Low Pressure Area has formed over Westcentral Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood.
The associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 5.8 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height. It is very likely to move west northwestwards towards Andhra Pradesh coast during the next 2 days.
Under the influence of the system heavy rainfall is expected over most parts of Odisha in the next four days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a ‘yellow warning’ for these districts.
Further, the IMD has forecast that light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over districts of Odisha in the next five days.
