Bhubaneswar: A low pressure area is very likely to form on Andaman Sea on December 5, and this would intensify into depression during the next 48 hours, Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Bhubaneswar Director HR Biswas informed.
According to Biswas, the low pressure system is very likely to move in west northwestwards direction towards Tamil Nadu and Puducherry coasts. “Because of its movement and direction, the system is unlikely to have any impact on Odisha,” Biswas said.
With change in wind pattern, several places in the State recorded a rise in night temperature which is above normal. During the next five days, Odisha will experience dry and cold weather. The minimum temperature during night is unlikely to fall further over the next five days, he added.
