Low Pressure To Hit Odisha Again On August 26

Bhubaneswar: The low pressure over North West Madhya Pradesh area and its neighbouring areas has weakened and it has moved towards north east direction.

Meanwhile, a fresh low pressure is likely to develop over North West Bay of Bengal around August 26. Regional Meteorological Centre has forecast thunderstorm accompanied with rain at several places over the districts of Odisha from August 25.

As per the prediction, lightning as well as rain is likely to occur at many places over the district in the next two days. From August 26, thundershower is likely to lash Cuttack, Puri, Balasore, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundergarh and Jharsuguda districts.

The bulletin further warned fishermen not to venture into the sea along and off south Odisha coast & west central adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal during that time.
