Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that a fresh Low Pressure Area (LPA) is likely to form over North Bay of Bengal (BoB) and its neighbourhood around Friday (October 4).
“The upper air circulation lies over southeast Bangladesh & neighbourhood at 8.30 AM on Wednesday and extends upto 5.8 km above mean sea level. A trough runs from the cyclonic circulation over southeast Bangladesh & neighbourhood to North Andaman Sea across Myanmar coast and extends up to 1.5 km above mean sea level. Under its influence, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) is likely to form over North
Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood around 04th October,” said the midday weather bulletin issued by the local Meteorological Centre of the IMD on Wednesday.

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, South Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of North Interior Odisha.
Yellow Warning (Be Aware): Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nawarangpur, Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati.

Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha.
