Bhubaneswar: The price of a 14.2 kg refill of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinder has been increased by Rs 25 with effect from today. With the current increase, the price of a 14.2 kg domestic cooking gas cylinder has undergone a price increase of Rs 200 in the last two months. From today the cost per cylinder of LPG in Bhubaneswar has increased to Rs 820.50.
Earlier to today’s increase, the price of a 14.2 kg LPG refill in Bhubaneswar was Rs 795.50.
This is the third increase in the price of the LPG cylinder this month.
While first it was increased by Rs 25 on February 4, it was increased by Rs 50 on February 15 and today it was increased for the third time by Rs 25.
The new price in Kolkata is Rs 820 (Rs 795), the highest among the four major metros. In Mumbai, the cylinder now costs Rs 794 (Rs 769.00), and in Chennai Rs 810 (Rs 785.00). In Hyderabad, it is Rs 846.50 (Rs 821.50).
LPG prices, which are determined based on the international product – propane and butane – prices as well as US dollar-rupee exchange rate.
