**Bhubaneswar:** Gandhi Peace Foundation Chairman, Kumar Prashant today met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the State Secretariat and discussed about the celebration of Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary across India.
On this occasion, a vehicle carrying Gandhiji’s portrait will move across Odisha. The Father of the Nation’s birth anniversary will be observed in all Blocks of the State, said Prashant.
The programmes will include distribution of books which have the articles and write-ups penned by Gandhiji among students. These articles will also be translated in Odia, he added.
He urged the Odisha CM to facilitate setting up an office of the Gandhi Peace Foundation in the State. Naveen assured that his Government will extend all possible help to make the programme a success in Odisha.
Another Gandhian scholar, Krishna Mohanty discussed about different issues concerning the Baji Rout Hostel located in Angul. The delegation praised the Chief Minister’s commitment towards their proposals.
On this occasion, Naveen released the Odia version of a book on Gandhiji’s life. Among others, Birupakhya Tripathy, Dr Biswajit Ray and Manoranjan Mohanty were present.
