Bhubaneswar: The first Bhubaneswar-Dubai direct flight will take off from the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) here on March 5. The event will be significant as this will be the first international flight from Bhubaneswar.
Officials at the BPIA said that the much-awaited maiden Bhubaneswar-Dubai flight (No 6E 0027) will take off from Bhubaneswar at 18.05 pm on March 5 and land in Dubai at 21.45 pm. Another flight (No 6E 0028) will take off from Dubai at 11.25 am and land in Bhubaneswar at 17.05 pm on March 5. According to sources, IndiGo will operate flight services between the two cities.
“Kindly note that we intend to commence operations from Bhubaneswar Airport to Dubai. This will be the First International flight from Bhubaneswar Airport,” the IndiGo airline said in a release to its travel partner.
Meanwhile, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is also scheduled to inaugurate a walk-through museum for Biju Patnaik’s iconic Dakota on March 5.
