Puri: A serious mistake has been found in the calendar released by the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) for the English New Year.
According to reports, the images of Lord Jagannath and Balabhadra have reportedly been swapped, with Jagannath’s image appearing in place of Balabhadra’s and vice versa. This error has been noticed in both the table calendar and the wall calendar.
The temple administration had spent lakhs of rupees to produce these calendars and diaries, which are being sold to devotees. Intellectuals are questioning how such a grave mistake could have occurred, especially in a temple of such great importance.
Additionally, the calendar features a photo of the Rath Yatra festival, but the order of the chariots is incorrect. The chariot of Devi Subhadra is shown first, followed by Lord Jagannath’s chariot, and then Balabhadra’s chariot, which is not the correct order.
