Cuttack: A major fire has broken out at the Bhartia Tower in Badambadi area of the city.
The fire has been reported on the fifth floor of the multi-storeyed building which houses several shops and commercial establishments.
One fire tender has reached the spot and firemen are busy rescuing people at the time of filing of this report.
Efforts are underway to contain the blaze.
An electric short circuit is suspected to be the cause of the fire.
