Bhubaneswar: A major broke out in the Sreeragham Export Pvt Ltd office at Sai Anadam Complex in the Patia area of Bhubaneswar in the wee hours of Sunday.
Fire Services personnel rushed to the site and rescued six persons from the second floor of the building using ladders and a BA set. According to Abani Kumar Swain, Deputy Fire Officer, Bhubaneswar, no casualty was reported and now the fire has been completely extinguished.
It is suspected that the fire started from an air conditioning machine on the ground floor and soon spread to the first and second floors. Two fire-fighting units were engaged to douse the blaze.
Five air conditioning machines, property, and office documents were reduced to ashes in the fire.
