Bhubaneswar: A devastating fire broke out at a godown storing light and sound equipment in the Aiginia locality of Bhubaneswar on Monday evening, causing extensive damage to property worth lakhs of rupees. The blaze, which started around 5:30 PM, continued to rage for hours despite relentless efforts by firefighting teams.
Three fire engines and approximately 20 fire service personnel were deployed to control the inferno. However, the fire proved challenging to extinguish, with flames still blazing at 8:30 PM. Firefighters worked tirelessly to contain the situation, but the intensity of the fire caused significant destruction to the godown and its contents.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and authorities are investigating the incident. No casualties or injuries have been reported so far.
