Malkangiri At 40 Degrees Celsius, Parts Of Odisha To Get Rain For 4-5 Days, Thunderstorm Warning Issued

Bhubaneswar: The cyclonic circulation over Vidarbha and adjoining areas of Chhattisgarh, might cause rainfall in several districts of the State in the coming five days, informed Regional Meteorological Department. Thunderstorm warning has been issued for districts of Sundergarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jharsuguda, Bolangir, Boudh, Bargarh, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Angul, Dhenkanal and Cuttack till 6:30 pm today.

On 18th March, thunder storm with gusty wind and lightening is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of north coastal Odisha including Balasore, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Kendrapada, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.

On 19th, light rain or thundershower likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara and dry weather likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

On 20th, light rain or thunder-shower likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of coastal Odisha and Mayurbhanj, Koraput, Gajapati and Rayagada districts.

On 21st, thunder storm with gusty wind and lightning likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sonepur, Boudh, Angul, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Khurda, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Dhenkanal and Cuttack.

The highest maximum temperature of 40 degree Celsius was recorded at Malkangiri and the lowest minimum temperature of 17 degrees was recorded at Sundargarh in the plains of Odisha.
