Malkangiri Boat Capsize: Three Bodies Found, Toll Rises To Four

Malkangiri: The bodies of three persons, who had gone missing after their boat capsized in Balimela reservoir under Chitrakonda block on Saturday, were recovered on Monday evening.

The deceased have been identified as Mangala Golori, Deepali Golori and Santa Sisa. Earlier on the fateful day, the body of Sanadei Golori was recovered. All of them belonged to Totaguda panchayat under Chitrakonda police limits.

Mangala Galari, his wife Sanadei and daughter Dipali along with another Santa Sisa were returning Totaguda from Nakamamuduru Saturday when the boat capsized near Ambulibeda. While Sanadei’s body was recovered the same day, three others remained missing.

A fire brigade team was pressed into rescue activity immediately after the mishap. The fire brigade personnel recovered the three bodies today.
