Malkangiri Mishap: CM Majhi Announces Rs 2 Lakh Compensation For Victims’ Kin

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has expressed his deepest condolences to the families of three individuals who lost their lives in a road accident in Malkangiri district on Saturday night.

The Chief Minister has announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh to the next of kin of each deceased, which will be provided from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

A speeding bus collided with a motorcycle on National Highway 326 near MV-7 village under Malkangiri police limits. The bike rider and two pillion riders died in the mishap on the spot on Saturday.

One of the deceased is a resident of Padmagiri in MV-86. However, the identities of the other two victims are yet to be established.

The bus driver fled the scene immediately after the accident.
