Puri: The 77th Independence Day celebrations turned out to be tragic for Malleswari Project Primary School headmaster Prafulla Chandra Sahu and his family. Soon after hoisting the Tricolour on the school premises in Krishnaprasad block of Odisha’s Puri district on Tuesday morning, Sahu started feeling giddy and dropped unconscious to the ground. The school staff rushed him to the Krishnaprasad Group Health Center in critical condition. He breathed his last soon after being admitted to the health center.
While the cause of death is yet to be ascertained, a pall of gloom descended on the region as the news of death spread.
Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation to ascertain the reason that led to Sahu’s sudden demise.
