Identified as G Devendra Reddy and D Gunnama, the accused are reported to killed D Neelabeni and her seven-year-old son D Rushi. Based on a complaint filed by Neelabeni’s husband Dali Mohan Reddy, police had registered a case in this connection and launched an investigation into it.

Cracking the murder mystery, police said, Mohan’s nephew Devendra had illicit relationship with the wife of Mohan’s younger brother’s wife D Gunnama. Neelabeni somehow came to know about their relationship and threatened them to disclose it before family members. As a result, an altercation ensued between Neelabeni and the lovebirds.
