Bhubaneswar: In a gruesome incident, a man was arrested for allegedly killing his wife by slitting her throat at Nuamunda village under Tumudibandha police station in Kandhamal district.
Chandrakant allegedly demanded money from Madhavati, but she refused, leading to a heated argument.
In a fit of rage, Chandrakant attacked Madhavati with a sharp knife, inflicting fatal injuries.
Their son, Sipun Behera, discovered his mother’s dead body with her throat slit upon returning home. He immediately informed the police station.
Police rushed to the scene, recovered the body, and took Chandrakant into custody for questioning. Police launched an investigation.
