Bhubaneswar: A person allegedly killed his wife with an axe following a trivial dispute at Antarla village under Deogaon police station limits in Balangir district, late Tuesday night.
According to reports, the couple had a heated argument after dinner, and in a fit of rage, the husband attacked his wife with an axe when she was asleep.
Upon being informed, police arrested the accused husband and took him into custody.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are probing the circumstances that led to the murder. The body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem examination.
